Dear Mr. Knowles:

It is with great pride and dignity that I take this stance in thanking you for selecting me as one of your newest members of the “African American Golfers Hall of Fame.”

Golf has always been a big part of my life and with the help and support of my wife and family, We all feel very fortunate to be a part of this historic achievement.

I started playing golf at a very early age on a six hole golf course in Charleston S.C on Grimbal road and always wanted to give back to the game for what it stands for. Becoming a member of “The African American Hall of Fame” gives me the self satisfaction and gratification that every man dreams of.

Becoming a member has been and presented a very positive change in my life. The notoriety and fame has shed a different light on my life and draws the perfect attention for being a role model for the community that we reside in. On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family and look forward to growing with you in the future.

Sincerely Yours,
Gordon Brown Sr.
